Day 5

I’m making good progress overall as far as how I feel and my performance!  It’s nothing huge, but I was able to do a little jogging on the third mile for the first time, and cut my overall time by over a minute, getting the 3 mile mark under 49 now.  My overall goal for the time being is simply to keep pushing myself while I’m out there, and to keep my heart rate up.  I jog until I can’t, then walk until my heart rate starts to drop, then jog some more.  I really love the woods trails because it keeps me motivated with lots of short term goals – jog to the next bend, then the next, then the next.  Motivation and boredom are my main problems so I need to recognize that and embrace it!
